After just finishing the fifth day of a "Value Analysis" program, I can't believe we covered so much material in such a short time. I feel like I have just received a "Value Engineering Shock Treatment". I could not have gained this much knowledge in a complete semester of study. The beneficial results of these past five days have been two-fold. The first in personal: I have been reprogrammed to think systematically about the value and cost of everything within my charge. Secondly, as a company we will benefit from a fresh approach concerning new projects and cost cutting ideas. This V.A. Program is led by Mr. Hoshang Karani. In my opinion, Mr. Karani is a man who totally believes in the V.A. system and is completely dedicated to presenting it to others. He is unmoved in the face of the barrage of natural opposition to having years of thought patterns altered drastically.
