WHO IS KARANI?

 

Hoshang R. Karani is the president of Karani Value Technology Strategies, based in Lake Forest, Illinois. Prior to starting his own practice, Mr. Karani held management positions with several multinational corporations, most recently with Brunswick Corporation where he was the Corporate Director of Technology.

He is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Illinois and a Certified Value Specialist through S.A.V.E. International which has approved his Value Analysis and Value Engineering work shops. A former president of the Chicago chapter of S.A.V.E., Karani served as general chairman for the 1983 and the 1996 International Conferences and was on its Certification Board from 1988-94. He is a member of A.S.M.E. and I.E.E.E. Karani is a frequent speaker at management seminars and provides workshops for professional societies, universities and major corporations. Engagements have included S.A.E., A.S.M.E., S.A.V.E., N.A.P.M., M.I.M.A. Management Institute, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Purdue University, Georgia Tech, General Motors, United Technologies(Canada), Howden Compressors(Scotland), and Inland Steel.
